The above is the BhoodhathAzhwar birthplace, where Azhwar took birth in Kurukkaththi flower as Gathai amsam of emperumAn in Aiypassi, Avittam nakshatram. This place is inside the nandavanam which is just opposite to the temple and under the control of Archealogy Survey of India (Central Govt.). Publics were not allowed generally inside this area. Near to this place, there is a tank (called Azhwar Tank) and also a mandapam in dilapitated state. From the roadside, Azhwars birthplace can not be seen.
